Yahoo Search has used Bing's results since a search deal between Yahoo and Microsoft took effect in 2010. To rank on Yahoo, optimize for Bing: verify your site in Bing Webmaster Tools, submit a sitemap and follow Bing's guidelines.

How Yahoo Search serves pages to crawlers
Yahoo doesn't crawl the web for its main results; Bingbot does.
Steps
- Verify your site in Bing Webmaster Tools (import from Google Search Console if you use it).
- Submit your sitemap and use IndexNow for updates.
- Make sure Bingbot isn't blocked by robots.txt or your firewall.
- Follow the same on-page basics as for Google: titles, descriptions, clear content.
- For local businesses, also claim your Bing Places listing.
